Cardiff’s approach from 2007-2012 is to develop sectors which have high growth potential and increase Innovation in the city, but importantly these are to be based on local strengths.
Cambridge Econometrics has assisted in identifying those sectors, which in regard to indigenous strengths, offer the greatest potential for the future growth and prosperity, add value and aid the diversification of Cardiff’s economic base.
Cardiff is seen as playing a fundamental role in the development of a number of Key Sectors that are targeted in Wales: including Bioscience, Creative Industries, Business and Financial Services, Technology and Leisure and Tourism.
